The process of becoming an NDIS registered provider is rigorous. It takes a lot of time, effort and significant cost - but this doesn’t mean that you should rule out unregistered providers when selecting the right supports for you.

Your consumables budget falls under ‘Core Supports’. It’s the one budget area that is both the most flexible and the most challenging to manage effectively. It’s also the area that causes the most confusion.

There are the obvious  benefits to self-managing an NDIS plan, such as flexibility, choice and control over the plan. What comes with that, however, is also the time and responsibility.
